Dear partners,
- Name correction refers to all cases in which the correction of the name does not involve passenger replacement or route change (route / travel dates / flights/ RBDs)
- Name correction can be made only on RO operated flights
- If in the itinerary there are other carriers involved, a new reservation must be made with the correct name, in the initial RBDs, if available ( if not the correction must be made by upgrade).
A mail must be sent to [email protected] with both PNRs (with the wrong and correct name), TAROM will confirm the initial RBD for our own flight.
- The most common cases of name corrections are:
– 1-3 misspelled letters (reversed/missing/extra letters in the last and/or first names);
– Last name missing/extra last name;
– First name missing (if the middle name is missing the correction is not compulsory)/ extra first name
– Usual diminutives: Dana instead of Daniela, Cristi instead of Cristian etc
– Last name/First name + last name repetition;
– Post marriage/divorce change of the last name (based on the marriage certificate or divorce decision) or in case of voluntary name change;
– The passenger declared his/her nickname or stage name (only with supporting documents
– Other cases in which the name in the reservation does not match the one in the ID which was introduced in the reservation before the ticket was issued.
The name correction can be made free of charge for non-ticketed PNRs or for PNRs with void tickets (error traced in the same day).
In a reservation with a ticket already issued (unused or partially used) after the name correction is made in the PNR, is mandatory to reissue the ticket with a 25EUR CP penalty collection.
Exception: Tickets issued in Business Class on all international flights – for which the reissue is free of charge.

Agencies have to contact directly Space Control Office at e-mail [email protected] to request the name correction confirmation in PNR and then will reissue the tickets according to the above instructions.
