TAROM announces a priority contact line for passengers affected by flight cancellations on July 8
Bucharest, July 9, 2024 – The TAROM Company faced an unprecedented situation that of canceling numerous flights as a result of individual declarations of unfitness for flight by the flight personnel. As a result of this situation, independent of the will and actions of the company, passengers were affected by the cancellation of regular flights. The company has provided alternatives for travelers and the support team is in direct contact with them to provide detailed information on rescheduling flights, refunds or other available options.
In order to facilitate the compensation process for passengers affected by the cancellation of regular flights during July 8, TAROM announces the creation of a dedicated email address: [email protected], to which passengers can send the requests and documents necessary to obtain compensation, in accordance with EC 261/2004 Regulation.
Passengers affected by these cancellations can send the compensation request to the dedicated email address: [email protected]. , where they must submit the following information:
- Passenger name and surname
- Flight number
- Copy of travel tickets and reservation code
If applicable, proof of payment for additional expenses related to accommodation, meals, transportation from the airport to the accommodation unit and from the accommodation unit to the airport
The method of compensation they opt for (money / electronic voucher)
The electronic voucher can be used for the purchase of TAROM tickets issued on TAROM operated flights (with RO flight number) within one year from the date of issue. The value of the voucher is not refundable.
For passengers who will choose to get compensation in money, it is necessary to send their bank details in the following format:
- Name and surname of the account beneficiary
- Name of the bank branches
- Bank address
- IBAN
- SWIFT/BIC code
- Account currency
