Pets accompanied by their owners or a responsible person on behalf of the owner for non-commercial purpose, arriving from third countries, must be admitted on the European Union terittory only through a designated Point of entry for the veterinary check of such pets. For air carriage, the Poinst of entry in Romania designated by The National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority are: Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport and Cluj Avram Iancu International Airport. Your pet can travel in the passenger cabin or in the hold.
For journeys within the European Union, your pet must be identified by an electronic chip and hold an European passport. The passport, issued and completed by an authorized veterinarian, certifies your pet has been properly vaccinated.

Passengers must present at the Otopeni Check-in the import/export permit, issued by the veterinary authorities in Israel, which must be signed, stamped, contain the flight number and the date. NEW REGULATION FOR TRAVELLING WITH PETS IN THE UNITED STATES If you are traveling with a dog to the United States, new regulations imposed by U.S. health authorities apply to all airlines and travelers starting August 1, 2024. Your dog is authorized to travel to the United States from the age of 6 months To prepare for your dog’s journey, you need to complete the form provided by the U.S authorities. On the day of your departure, you must present a digital or paper receipt. If your dog is between 6 months and 1 year old, you must complete this form at least 15 days before your flight date. We invite you to familiarize yourself with the new requirements implemented by the CDC (Center for Disease Control). If you do not comply with the requirements set by the CDC, we regret to inform you that you will be denied boarding. |

TAROM accepts for transport in the aircraft hold, only cats and dogs. The transport of other animal species may be granted only as cargo.
ASSISTANCE AND GUIDE DOGS
The transport of assistance and guide dogs is done free of charge. When accepted on board, your dog must meet the following conditions
