a. Destinations
To check the destinations where you can send packages using TAROM regular flights, please contact Marketing and Internal Sales Office at section “Useful phone numbers”.
b. How do I wrap the parcels?
To accelerate acceptation formalities for air transportation, packages must meet the following requirements:
- they must be inscribed with the sender’s and recipient’s details (address and telephone number)
- the outer package has to be solid enough to stand the usual handling during air transportation.
- cardboard, wood, metal and fabric packaging, as well as bags and suitcases for belongings are accepted;
Wood packaging should comply with the phytosanitary rules (must be marked by the competent authorities or be accompanied by the phytosanitary certificate).
To avoid deterioration inside the packaging, goods to be carried shall be packed as compactly as possible so that no void spaces remain inside the package, thus saving any additional fees due to volume.
c. Parcel size
If you wish to send a parcel but you are not sure whether its sizes are accepted, please check the form here.
d. How long does the transportation take?
Depending on the final destination, the total duration from the delivery of parcels to their arrival on the destination airport may take one day with direct flights and it may vary with flights shared with partner companies depending on the flights schedules of such companies.
For flights to destinations in Romania, the transportation may take 3 to 4 hours in total.
